SR Supply Chain Consultants was delighted to achieve the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification, marking an important milestone in the organisation’s continued development.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard for quality management systems. It provides organisations with a framework for maintaining consistent processes, improving performance and meeting the needs and expectations of customers.
As SRSCC’s learner base continued to grow across the UK and internationally, achieving certification was a natural next step. It provided independent recognition of the systems supporting the delivery of high-quality procurement and supply chain courses.
A detailed and valuable certification process
Achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification required SRSCC to demonstrate that appropriate quality management processes were in place throughout the organisation.
The assessment considered how the business managed its responsibilities, monitored performance, responded to customer requirements and continually improved its services.
Although the process was detailed, it built upon many of the quality principles and working practices that SRSCC had already established. Certification provided formal recognition of those standards and demonstrated the organisation’s commitment to maintaining a consistent approach.
What ISO 9001:2015 meant for learners and partners
For learners, employers and organisational partners, ISO 9001:2015 provided additional reassurance that quality was considered throughout the delivery of SRSCC’s training and support.
The principles behind the standard include:
- A clear focus on customer and learner requirements.
- Consistent and well-managed processes.
- Defined responsibilities across the organisation.
- Monitoring performance and using evidence to inform decisions.
- Responding to feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- A continuing commitment to quality and professional development.
These principles supported SRSCC’s work with individual learners, employers and larger organisations, helping the team deliver a consistent learning experience across programmes including CIPS qualifications and procurement and supply chain apprenticeships.
A commitment to continuous improvement
ISO 9001:2015 certification represented more than a single organisational achievement. It reflected SRSCC’s wider commitment to reviewing its services, learning from feedback and continually enhancing the experience provided to learners and employers.
That commitment has also been demonstrated through achievements including 10 consecutive years of CIPS Centre of Excellence status and the organisation’s Matrix Standard accreditation.
Continuing to strengthen quality and security
Since this article was originally published, SRSCC has continued to develop the systems and standards supporting its learners, employers and partners.
In 2024, the organisation also achieved ISO 27001 certification, reflecting its commitment to information security management and the protection of sensitive information.
