In the world of high-end automotive engineering, precision, strategy, and flawless supply chain management are everything. It is fitting, then, that Tino Mumvuri—a Procurement Apprentice at Aston Martin—has applied that exact same level of focus and rigour to his own professional development.
We are incredibly proud to announce that Tino has been named a finalist in the Engineering and Manufacturing category at the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards 2026.
This is a phenomenal achievement and a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and measurable impact Tino is making both within Aston Martin and the wider procurement industry.
Standing Out Among Hundreds of Nominations
Making the finals of the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards is no small feat. To put this into perspective, last year’s awards received over 500 nominations, encompassing apprentices, employers, learning providers, universities, and schools from across the UK.
Being shortlisted in the highly competitive Engineering and Manufacturing category highlights Tino’s exceptional capability to drive commercial value and operational excellence in one of the world’s most prestigious automotive brands. It also underscores the importance of diversity and fresh perspectives in modern supply chain management.
From Foundation to Management: A Dual-Level Success Story
Tino’s trajectory is a textbook example of how ambition, backed by the right professional training framework, can accelerate a career in procurement.
His journey began with the Level 4 Procurement and Supply Chain Practitioner apprenticeship with SRSCC. Through consistent high performance and a hunger for strategic knowledge, Tino has successfully transitioned to a Level 5 Procurement Manager apprentice.
Beyond his day-to-day role managing complex supplier relationships at Aston Martin, Tino has also stepped up as a leader in the wider community, having been elected as the Apprentice Chair of the West Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador Network.
What Makes a Successful Procurement Apprentice?
Tino’s success highlights several core traits that employers look for in modern procurement professionals:
Commercial Acumen: Applying theoretical CIPS knowledge directly to high-stakes, real-world supplier negotiations.
Continuous Progression: Moving seamlessly from operational foundations (Level 4) to strategic management (Level 5).
Industry Leadership: Advocating for the apprenticeship route and inspiring the next generation of supply chain talent.
Empowering the Next Generation of Supply Chain Leaders
At SRSCC, our core objective is to deliver training that doesn’t just help learners pass exams, but actively shapes them into confident, high-performing industry professionals. Seeing learners like Tino take the knowledge gained from their apprenticeship and use it to excel at global brands like Aston Martin is exactly why we do what we do.
We wish Tino the absolute best of luck at the upcoming Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards ceremony. Regardless of the final result, his journey is already a massive success story.
