At SRSCC, we are proud to share the inspiring efforts of two of our apprentices from Wilson James, Beckey and Lisa, who recently participated in the Race for Business, a 5km charity event supporting Havens Hospices. This event, held annually, welcomes businesses from the South Essex region to come together for a great cause.
Going the Distance
The Race for Business is more than just a running event; it’s an opportunity for individuals and companies to show their support for Havens Hospices, an organisation that provides palliative care to adults and children with life-limiting illnesses. Beckey and Lisa took on this challenge not only as a personal goal but also as a way to contribute to the community and support the invaluable services provided by Havens Hospices.
Making an Impact
Thanks to the generous support from colleagues and their organisation, they raised an impressive £500 for Havens Hospices through this event, helping the hospice continue its essential work. The support extended to Beckey and Lisa not only highlights their personal achievements but also showcases the collective spirit in supporting charitable causes.
