For Procurement to be effective and value-adding to our end customers, internal or external, consideration and the full integration of Sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance, (ESG) factors, is critical to successful delivery.

We must embrace the principles of People, Profit, Planet in all of our procurement activities, whilst ensuring that good governance in our procurement processes and practices is maintained.

This course will provide all delegates with the tools, techniques and knowledge to be able to implement and deliver a procurement strategy encompassing Sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance, (ESG) factors.

Who Should Attend?

All levels of procurement professionals who are involved in the development of Procurement strategy.

Any other members of an Organisation, who have an interest or element of responsibility in this area.

To ensure that delegates:

  • To introduce and explain the concept of integrating Sustainability and ESG into procurement activities.
  • To give delegates an understanding of the need for effective governance in all procurement activities.
  • To educate delegates as to how they can integrate Sustainability and ESG into all stages of the Procurement Cycle.
  • To give delegates an understanding of what is required to deliver Sustainability and ESG from a global supply chain and how this differs from domestic activity.
  • To provide all delegates with an overview of Modern Slavery and how to ensure that this is eliminated from their supply chains.

Our trainers are all FCIPS / MCIPS qualified teachers who have extensive experience of delivering best practice training courses across numerous industries, e.g. Automotive, Retail, Food, Finance to name a few. The course will be extremely participative, exercise driven with many relevant examples and anecdotes provided to bring practice and theory to life.

Upon completion of this course every delegate will be able to:

  • Develop a strategy, detailing how they will deliver Sustainability and ESG from their supply chains.
  • Explain the constituent elements of Sustainability and ESG to their internal and external stakeholders.
  • Educate their stakeholders on the need to implement Sustainability and ESG into every stage of the Procurement Cycle.
  • Articulate on the risks and opportunities of integrating Sustainability and ESG into all global sourcing activities.
  • Ensure that there is no element of Modern Slavery in their domestic and global supply chains.
