Born in the 1980’s in North West Lancashire Greg Jackson started his career in the Public sector. Working within the Works Department at Preston City Council Greg gained a wealth of experience in Public sector tendering and project costing. He soon progressed to a managerial role before deciding to move on.
Greg went on to take a positions in wholesale and distribution, here he gained substantial expertise in expediting, warehousing and logistics management, centralised procurement, own label procurement, category management and commodity buying.
Greg took responsibility for internal training and felt a growing satisfaction from seeing others progress and achieve.
In 2011 Greg delivered CIPS Courses at SR Supply Chain Consultants Ltd Blackburn/Preston study centre, with fantastic results. He soon realised that teaching was his passion and joined SR Supply Chain Consultants full time as Training and Innovation Manager and is now Director of Training.
Greg is fully MCIPS qualified and also has a Maths and I.T Degree. His specialist subject is CIPS Level 6 Supply chain diligence, although he also has a flair for Effective Negotiation, Developing contracts and many other CIPS units.
Utilising his IT skills Greg creates innovative course material, quizzes and tests which are fantastic tools for his delegates. So far Greg has achieved without fail, far higher the national average pass rates across all subjects.
