Targeted at building strategic procurement competence this CIPS Level 6 course gives managers the ability to formulate strategic direction and advice in terms of change management, stakeholder management and team leadership

The CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply consists of 3 core units and 3 optional units – 5 units must be completed in total.

  • CORE – Leadership in Procurement and Supply
  • CORE – Corporate and Business Strategy
  • CORE – Strategic Supply Chain Management
  • OPTIONAL – Supply Chain Diligence
  • OPTIONAL – Programme and Project Management
  • OPTIONAL – Legal Aspects in Procurement and Supply

**CIPS have announced a syllabus change the last opportunity to sit these units is May 2019, Learners will then transition to the new syllabus with the new assessments in July 2019. We will keep learners and employers up to date with changes and transition arrangements, when these are realised by CIPS which is expected in January 2019**

This qualification is aimed at individuals who have obtained the CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma qualification and wish to progress. On completion of the CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply students can then apply for CIPS member’s status (MCIPS)

Successful completion of CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Supply, OR CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply

This course is designed to give the strategic acumen to:

  • Align functional, organisational and supply chain strategies
  • Devise and implement change management
  • Develop leadership skills
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Develop the procurement function, teams and relationship management
  • Project and financial management

3 hour written exams. The optional units and Corporate and Business Strategy unit will be essay questions. Leadership in Procurement and Supply will be an unseen case study with questions, and Strategic Supply Chain Management will be a pre-released case study
