The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has been contributing to the development of people in purchasing and supply for many years. The CIPS Level 2 Certificate has been designed to aid anyone who would like to not only develop and improve their skills in the workplace, but achieve a recognised qualification too. This certificate benefits not only the individual but also the company, it could mean cost savings and quality improvements in the workplace
The CIPS Level 2 Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations is a vocational related qualification consisting of 5 compulsory units:
- L2M1 Introducing Procurement and Supply
- L2M2 Procurement and Supply Operations
- L2M3 Stakeholder Relationships
- L2M4 Systems Technology
- L2M5 Inventory, Logistics and Expediting
This CIPS training course is aimed at anyone who buys on behalf of an organisation, and has little, or no experience in procurement. Also suitable for anyone who has no formal purchasing and supply qualifications. A great taster of what can be achieved by applying best practice.

- Contracts Administrator
- Stock Controller
GCSE or NVQ2 (UK)
AQF certificate III (AUS)
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Core skills learnt in CIPS Level 2 Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations will be to recognise and describe key transactional processes of purchasing and supply.Students will develop a robust knowledge in:
- Creating quotations and contract tender documentation
- Assessing quotations
- Addressing customer enquiries
- Supplier selections
- Supplier performance issues and reviews

Each exam is assessed through a 1.5 hour computer based exam consisting of drag and drop, multiple choice and drop down list style questions.
