Assistant Senior Procurement Officer

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Senior Procurement Officer to assist in the effective operation of the Procurement functions of the University.

The role comprises of procurement and contract management across a range of commodity areas in line with university policies and procedures and EU Regulations.

Within this role, you will be expected to lead on and procure a number of contracts.

Demonstrable experience of providing excellent customer service, attention to detail and working to tight deadlines in a busy and varied environment are core requirements for this position. Utilising proficient IT skills, you will have an ability to use Microsoft Office, email and the internet as well as possess some experience of using computerised purchasing/tendering systems.

Experience of working in a busy Procurement Office is essential and will be supported by your excellent listening skills and an ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing.

You must be able to work under pressure of a heavy workload, without supervision and as such be able to demonstrate initiative, organise and prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines. MCIPS part qualified is essential.
